WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

In this role, you will report to Director, Brand Marketing Mens based in Seoul, Korea and work with the Brand Marketing teams in Seoul, APLA (Asia Pacific Latin America) and Global, always with a growth mindset to contribute towards a World-class team.

You will work cross functionally in the Seoul office, particularly with key partners such as sports marketing, SCI (Social Community Impact) and Energy/RNWY (Runway) team aligning on roles & responsibilities, to bring your visionary concepts to life. In addition, you are expected to build strong external relationships with key people in the relevant industries in Seoul. You must be consistently collaborative and open to the opinions and expertise of those you engage with.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced and talented brand marketeer with a passion for and connection to Seoul culture. The ideal candidate lives in a fluid world, permeating subcultures, trans versing zeitgeist, building connections with thought leaders across different mediums.

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in brand/cultural marketing and/or entertainment with understanding of consumer landscape 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • Brand catalyst guardians who are curious, opportunists, communicators, explorers, futurists and strategic connectors.
  • Visionaries that see unique opportunities to take risks, expand perception, celebrate brand values, accelerate the business and advance the notion of sport culture.
  • Is deliberate in acting as a laboratory, a testing ground to strategically push boundaries, incubate, test and learn to envisage and build new space for Nike and sport, when others may not see the opportunity.
  • Has boundless interest, openness, passion and truth, translating the visionary language as only true insiders can do.
  • Able to guide the art and science, merging with a deft hand, a confluence of creative acumen and strategic intent to create something uniquely modern.
  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills fluent in Korean and English

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

The shape of your day-to-day work will vary significantly, and therefore your style and influence will have to adapt accordingly. Success will be measured based on increases in our brand strength, consumer engagement and business growth. In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Create E+C (Entertainment and Celebrity) marketing concepts and narratives for identified Seoul E+C which push the boundaries of creativity and sport and advance the notion of sport culture in Seoul, permeating visionary citizens throughout the Globe.
  • Drive planning and execution of identified E+C marketing concepts with internal stakeholders, managing the external people in partnership with Men’s Marketing Director
  • Drive integration with NHBD (Neighborhood) and SNKRS (Sneakers) team to ensure the brand architecture and collaboration launch calendar
  • Gather structured and continuous visionary consumer insights to allow us to better serve Nike and Jordan members in Seoul, and to feed back to APLA/Global in order to help longer-term & seasonal concepts. Own the local and global insight around E+C industry and build the brand plan that serves the specific city needs
  • Partner with Mens Brand Director to identify the next generation of cultural leaders from E+C field in Seoul
  • Humanise our brand through relationships with cultural catalysts, that create the future of sport* and energise the business and brand
  • Maintain the catalysts space (Circle81) and manage inventories for seeding
  • Communicate with external partners to manage contract terms with them
