Opportunity

The agency is recruiting an Experiential Designer to join our growing Experience team, working across both Allied Sports and FAVOUR clients. Reporting to the SVP / Head of Experience with direction from the Director of Creative Operations, the person in this role will work on experiential and design projects as part of a highly collaborative team of strategists, designers, producers, and technical suppliers. We strive to transcend basic functionality and aesthetics by creating environments that evoke emotions and facilitate memorable interactions.

Responsibilities 

This position will participate in the creative ideation and design of branded spaces for various sports, entertainment, and industry-specific event types, offering original concepts that push the boundaries of experiential design. The ideal candidate will bring a keen understanding of the user journey and be able to translate that knowledge into highly immersive and visually stunning brand experiences that drive quality engagements across key consumer touchpoints.

  • Embrace Human-Centric Design:
    Delve into the ways people interact with and respond to their surroundings, crafting spaces that not only foster positive experiences but also enhance overall well-being.
  • Unify Diverse Disciplines:
    Seamlessly blend principles from architecture, interior design, environmental graphics, wayfinding, art installations, and exhibition design to create a cohesive vision.
  • Craft Immersive and Engaging Environments:
    Harness an array of elements—lighting, materials, colors, furnishings, interactive features, and the spatial relationship to the external environment—to curate engaging experiences.
  • Acknowledge Psychological and Social Dimensions:
    Explore how environments can shape emotions, behaviors, and perceptions, designing with intention to evoke the desired responses.
  • Elevate Branding and Storytelling:
    Design spaces that resonate with authenticity, vividly communicating the client’s brand identity while telling their unique story in a captivating manner.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of proven experience in environmental, experiential, or spatial design, with a link to an online portfolio showing your award-worthy work
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Cadtools and 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Rhino, or similar)
  • Expertise in designing physical environments, sets, and displays with a balance of form and function
  • Ability to create stunning visuals with simulated materials and lighting using rendering software
  • Strong understanding of adherence to brand identity standards and third-party IP usage guidelines
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to rapidly changing client priorities and budget scenarios
  • Confidence to clearly articulate design decisions to internal teams and clients
  • Flexibility to work independently and be a team player when necessary
  • Experience working with fabrication shops and specialty vendors
  • Passion for staying ahead of design trends and best practices
  • A well-organized and detail-oriented work ethic

Considerations

  • Base salary range in New York, NY: $75,000 - $90,000 annually
  • This represents the salary range that Allied Sports, in good faith, might be willing to pay for this job at the time of this posting. Actual base salary depends on several factors, including market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), and level of responsibility.
  • Hybrid schedule: Office in New York, NY with 3 days in-office (Tues-Thurs) and 2 days remote (Mon & Fri) weekly.
