Experienced Naval Project Manager
We are looking for a Project Manager who can be the single point of contact for our customer COMMIT and our internal organization Royal IHC.
We have a challenging maintenance project planned, starting the second half of this year for the Dutch Royal Navy. In this role your key responsibilities will be to manage this maintenance project within the agreed terms; specification, quality, budget and time. Since we have a small, but dedicated, team it is important that you are hands on and get enthusiastic to manage this project from A to Z. After successfully completing this project, we are eager to embed you in other projects for the Dutch Royal Navy from new build to repairs and everything in between.
Working Activities
- Preparing and completing projects within an approved budget, on schedule, and following specifications, within the IHC Project Management means and methods
- Developing and managing project-specific execution plans, including strategy, schedule, safety and quality and managing risks and opportunities
- Spot opportunities and initiating mitigating actions, and reporting these to customers preparing regular project/ report updates
- Providing input to tender documents, connecting all stakeholders with a best for project direction
- Build a strong project team, offering leadership and technical guidance to the disciplines within the Project Team, create strong team spirit
- Communicating with superiors, staff, contractors, consultants and suppliers, attending both internal and external meetings to facilitate the project
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in naval architecture, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or another relevant discipline
- Experience working on projects with a value of above 10M EUR
- Experience liaising with internal and external customers, contractors, consultants and relevant authorities for project delivery
- Excellent planning and negotiating skills
- A strong command of English and Dutch, both written and verbal
- A highly motivated and flexible personality, with a strong capability to motivate others
- Problem analysis skills, with a result-oriented focus
- MIVD screening will be part of the selection procedure, therefore EU nationality is a precondition.

- A gross monthly fulltime salary between € 6.000 and € 8.000 +8% holiday allowance, depending on your experience.
