The Expat Payroll Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional responsible for managing and processing the full end-to-end payroll for expatriate employees, ensuring compliance with international tax laws, company policies and local labor regulations across multiple jurisdictions. This position requires a deep understanding of how Expat Payroll integrates with Global Mobility and Corporate Tax functions ensuring collaboration across internal teams and external vendors. The Expat Sr Analyst applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge of expatriate compensation structures, income reporting, tax equalization and shadow payroll processes contributing to the development of enhanced techniques and process improvements for the Expat Payroll team. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. The Expat Sr Analyst regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within the team and will be involved in coaching and training of new members on the team.
Responsibilities:

The Expat Payroll Sr Analyst performs business analysis support for the Global Payroll Services organization.

Serves as subject matter expert for Expat Payroll processes and procedures.

Creates and manages the documentation of internal procedures and business requirements.

Executes test plans and identifies and documents discrepancies found through the ability to accurately assess output against expected results; Resolves discrepancies with technical and/or business personnel, communicates issues and results clearly, and retests as required.

Creates and run data verification reports utilizing queries.

Interacts with multiple stakeholders on production and project support.

Plans and execute complex projects and coordinate over a broader departmental spectrum.

Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams and is involved in coaching and training of new members.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
