Role Description

As our Head of Greenfield Expansion you will develop our strategy & approach for greenfield and open trench expansion opportunities, and develop & lead an operating model to execute on this pursuit.  In this role you will collaboratively develop a model & process for efficiently executing on Greenfield opportunities. You will be responsible for the development of the process inclusive of sales, contract negotiation, financial modeling, build/construction and post-construction operations. You will also be responsible for operational alignment company-wide.


In this role, you'll:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a company-wide strategy and repeatable execution plan, collaborating closely and consistently with central and market teams to drive cross-functional adoption.
  • Proactively develop a playbook for Greenfield opportunities, containing considerations for budgeting, scheduling, resource/activity planning, activity sequencing and prioritization, performance tracking, project dependency awareness, and financial reporting.
  • Train and promote operational alignment with the market teams on Greenfield opportunities, building relationships so you will be recognized as the subject matter expert on Greenfield endeavors.
  • Communicate progress effectively and work with internal/external stakeholders - ranging from senior executives to frontline teams - to ensure organizational alignment.  
  • Foster an open, transparent, and cross-discipline change management process.


At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in the internet service provider industry with large, capital intensive and technical scopes of work.
  • Experience with executive and strategic management in business and technology fields.

It's preferred if you have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) or other project management certification.
  • Experience in analytical and solutions-oriented roles with an emphasis on financial and operational performance with regard to construction.
  • Experience managing telecommunication infrastructure, Fiber to the Home/Plant (FTTx) operations, structured wiring (ISP) projects and/or outside plant (OSP) projects.
  • Experience with Sitetracker, CAD, GIS systems, and/or FTTH records/As-builts.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $160,000 - $235,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
