About the role:

Based off Charing Cross Road, OMD EMEA are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join as an entry-level Paid Search Exec. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with one of the most innovative and powerful brands in the world and start your career in digital marketing.

As a Paid Search Exec, you’ll support the team in executing campaigns on Paid Search platforms such as Google and Bing. You'll be given training and mentorship to develop your skills in media planning, campaign optimisation, and digital strategy, while working closely with the in-house creative and account teams.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up and managing Paid Search campaigns under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Perform basic tasks such as keyword research, ad copywriting, and audience research.
  • Help with monitoring campaign performance and making recommendations for optimisation.
  • Support the team in aligning Paid Search activities with overall media plans.
  • Liaise with senior team members on campaign updates and performance insights.
  • Learn and follow standard processes for campaign setup and management.
  • Assist in creating reports to share campaign performance with internal teams.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to develop Paid Search skills.
  • Build foundational relationships with internal teams and clients.


Key relationships

Work closely with the Paid Search team, cross-channel teams, and other internal departments to support campaigns. You'll also have the opportunity to interact with platform representatives as you grow in the role.


Essential job responsibilities

Campaign Assistance

  • Assist in creating campaign briefs and setting up new Paid Search campaigns.
  • Help with building keyword lists and writing basic ad copy.
  • Perform audience research and make updates to campaign schedules.
  • Ensure accurate campaign setup following checklists and guidelines.
  • Track and organise campaign documentation, such as keyword lists and creative schedules.
  • Support basic A/B testing of ad copy and campaign elements.
  • Help review campaign structures to ensure consistency and adherence to naming conventions.
  • Perform quality checks on ad copy and creative assets.
  • Budget Support
  • Learn to assist in budget tracking and help ensure campaigns stay within allocated spend.
  • Help manage campaign trackers to monitor pacing and spending.
  • Support the team in updating budget documentation and allocation.
  • Reporting and Analysis
  • Assist in maintaining reporting schedules and tracking templates.
  • Help gather data for campaign performance reports.
  • Learn to provide basic insights on performance and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Monitor key metrics and help ensure campaigns meet objectives.


Client Support

  • Learn to assist with client communication, including preparing reports and updates.
  • Participate in internal meetings to gain a deeper understanding of client goals.
  • Stay informed about the latest Paid Search trends and developments.
  • Partners & Networks
  • Support the team in researching new tools, platforms, and industry updates.
  • Help maintain communication with partners regarding campaign updates and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing information for internal sharing on new Paid Search tools or techniques.


Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Interest in digital marketing, especially Paid Search.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

 

Preferred but Not Mandatory:

  • Any prior internship or coursework related to digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads, Bing Ads, or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of the media landscape in EMEA.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Google Analytics.
