CommBank Health is the dedicated healthcare industry vertical established to provide specialised solutions and service to the Group’s healthcare customers. CommBank Health is responsible for designing and implementing strategy and insights, policy and banker capability programs, to ensure the Bank delivers on its objective of becoming the leading provider of financial services solutions to the Australian healthcare industry.
Impact and Contribution:
As a member of the CommBank Health Leadership Team, the Executive Manager, Policy & Performance will lead a team of dedicated professionals responsible for designing and implementing how the Group will engage with the various healthcare segments, including medicos, allied healthcare, pharmacy, specialist disability accommodation and seniors living.
Your Responsibilities:

Lead the development and acceptance of the Group Policy Framework across the Group.

Provide direction and guidance to the Business/Support Units and/or subsidiaries on the Group Policy Framework and policy development, management and governance.

Draft and review policies and related documents to improve effective decision-making, drive simplicity and improve risk outcomes of the group.

Establish and effectively manage relationships and communications with policy stakeholders to achieve the governance and policy outcomes required.

Conduct policy-related analysis and research to drive improvement and the adoption of best practice in governance and policy life-cycle management.

Develop strong partnerships with frontline Health teams to ensure best practice deal structuring, key industry fundamentals, portfolio management and also support in customer engagement as industry subject matter expert.

Develop market leading lending strategies as the business focus evolves into new areas of specialisation.

Build upon a strong partnership with Risk, including a deep understanding of the credit process with a focus to work collaboratively on key risk themes including regular reporting requirements for both portfolio monitoring purposes and contribution to risk initiatives from an industry perspective.

Build a network of internal and external contacts to provide industry knowledge and insights for industry-focused presentations, industry reviews and internal reporting documents.

Lead team members to provide analysis regarding key trends in the industry and portfolio which supports CBA delivering a market leading Healthcare strategy to the market.

Challenge the status quo to drive simpler, better processes.

Preparation and presentation of Industry papers to Risk Committee’s, Senior Executives, product and policy owners and frontline distribution teams.

Work across teams to deliver Insight reports on the health industry leveraging internal and external data.
Your skills and experience:

Strong sense of time management, urgency with a focus on outcomes.

Excellent analytical, planning, organising, evaluation and critical thinking skills.

Capable of sourcing relevant information from a large network of contacts.

Experience within financial services, risk management, credit risk and healthcare highly regarded.

Excellent presentation skills.
