Executive Assistant (3 month Contract / Temporary)

Nift is seeking an Executive Assistant to join our team temporarily to cover a 3-month maternity leave, from mid-February/beginning of March to June. We aim for this person to train with our current Executive Assistant before their leave to ensure a smooth transition.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly organized Executive Assistant to support our CEO. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience, with at least 2 of them supporting a CEO, GM, SVP at a technology startup or Partner for a VC firm with traditional EA responsibilities. The successful candidate should possess high emotional intelligence (EQ) skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

What You'll Do

  • Interact regularly and build relationships with executives across all the teams at Nift
  • Identify ways executives can use their time better, and things you can take off their plate
  • Prepare reports and presentations by gathering insights, data, research, and information to inform decision-making. 
  • Establish efficient communication channels between the CEO and leadership team to ensure smooth and accurate information flow. 
  • Lead the content flow for monthly, quarterly, and annual company meetings, as well as board meetings
  • Screen, prioritize, reply and manage the team's emails, ensuring important matters are addressed promptly.
  • Proactively manage the CEO’s schedules, meetings, travel arrangements, and prioritize  their appointments / activities.
  • Help to coordinate / organize professional events, speaking engagements, trade shows, conferences, business dinners / socials, and company off-sites

What You Need

  • BS/BA degree (preferred) or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of post-college work experience, at least 2 years as an Executive Assistant supporting a CEO or executive team member at a tech startup or VC firm 
  • Incredibly proactive, ability to take initiative, operate autonomously to get answers, context, and the data to solve problems
  • Excellent EQ, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, empathetic 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, follow through skills, meet deadlines, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive things to completion
  • High level of drive, a self-starter
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Strong scheduling / coordination skills, adaptable, flexible with last-minute changes
  • Ability to work independently and thrives under pressure in a quickly changing environment
  • A positive attitude / outlook has an optimistic approach to work and life
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • High degree of proficiency  with productivity processes & tools (e.g., G suite, spreadsheets, email Stack Method)
