Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the EVS team upholds a professional and positive image of the property by maintaining clean and comfortable shared spaces throughout the site. The team is responsible for daily cleaning of assigned areas, back-of-house spaces, and common areas, following established cleanliness standards, while also engaging with guests in a courteous and helpful manner to positively represent Surf Ranch.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Vacuums, sweeps, mops, and cleans flooring in common areas and employee spaces
- Scrubs, disinfects and deodorizes bathtubs / showers, toilets, wash basins, wastebaskets, tile and other bathroom and / or vanity fixtures and furnishings in the common areas and employee spaces.
- Dusts, brushes, polishes, cleans and vacuums furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances and other structural fixtures and furnishings in common areas and employee spaces
- Removes trash and debris from guests’ common areas and employee spaces
- Strips beds, collects dirty linens, and makes beds with fresh linens as assigned to assist housekeeping
- Replenishes linens, amenities and other supplies in common areas and employee spaces
- Routinely inspects common areas and employee spaces for maintenance needs such as burned-out light bulbs, plumbing or electrical problems, carpentry needs, or other special problems and reports it to the supervisor on shift for proper resolution
- Contribute to the positive image of Surf Ranch by providing janitorial services throughout the facility. This includes cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, training areas, outdoor spaces and other areas around the ranch house
- Contribute to well stocked restrooms by replacing supplies throughout the day
- Clean up spills, pick up and empty trash, empty and replace trash containers
- Ensure laundry is maintained and pool towels are rolled
- Assisting all departments in the facilitation of any cleaning service i.e. doing dishes in the kitchen, helping clean the main deck after an experience, re-organizing and restocking back of house spaces for the teams
- Completes weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly deep clean tasks
- Ownership over the outside of lodging accommodations and the cleanliness of them i.e windows, roofs, railings, etc.
- Ensures the “zones” are completed daily and all tasks are fully complete
- Maintain quality standards and expectations
- Auditing of supplies and communicating need for replenishment
- Adhering to standard operating procedures, safe housekeeping and sanitation practices
- Ensure company standards are followed in welcoming and acknowledging all guests
- Provide support to team to achieve common goals
- Ensure organized and clean work areas including laundry rooms and storage areas
- All other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to adapt to changes in a fast paced, dynamic, and sometimes intense work environment
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning supplies and procedures

Working Conditions / Physical requirements (if applicable)
- This position is very active and requires pushing, pulling, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
- Must be physically able to wipe down surfaces, reach, twist, bend and be able to pick up debris from floor or items from storage spaces.
- Lift/carry 25 lbs (frequently) and 50 lbs (occasionally)
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery.

Hourly Pay rate: $17.00 - $19.00 based on relevant experience
