We're looking for an experienced Events & Hospitality Director to create world-class events and unforgettable experiences for our coaching community and top customers. In this role, you'll design and execute high-quality events that foster connection and deliver maximum value to our certified coaches. You'll also oversee key gatherings, including our CEO’s mastermind and select staff events.

  • Infuse Unreasonable Hospitality into every detail, crafting personalized, high-touch experiences that leave a lasting impact.
  • Own the entire event lifecycle—from venue selection to final execution—ensuring every touchpoint before, during, and after the event is thoughtfully planned.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and vendors to keep events on track, on brand, and on budget.
  • Oversee all logistics, including registration, travel, catering, AV setup, and the on-site experience, to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Develop checklists, run-of-show documents, and contingency plans to ensure smooth execution.
  • Lead event-related team meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and clear on responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and operations teams to coordinate event promotions, materials, and communications.
  • Gather feedback from attendees to continuously improve and refine future events.
  • Anticipate challenges before they happen, solving problems in real time so attendees and speakers can enjoy a seamless experience.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or experience design, preferably in a customer-facing or high-touch environment.
  • A proven track record of executing exceptional events, from intimate masterminds to large-scale community gatherings and conferences.
  • Strong understanding of event logistics, operations, and high-end customer experience.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems before they arise.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience juggling multiple events and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to make people feel welcome and valued.
  • Experience working with vendors, venues, AV teams, and production crews.
  • A deep appreciation for hospitality, customer experience, and creating truly special moments.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with last-minute changes and high expectations.

Key Competencies:

  • Hospitality-Obsessed: Committed to making every attendee feel seen, valued, and well taken care of. Bonus points if you’ve read Unreasonable Hospitality
  • Master of Details: Nothing slips through the cracks—you anticipate every need before it arises.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Able to handle last-minute changes and high-profile events with grace and confidence.
  • Creative Experience Designer: Always thinking of new ways to elevate events and create magical moments.
  • Proactive Problem-Solver: Takes ownership and ensures every event runs smoothly from start to finish.

What We Do

When it comes to talking about their businesses, many people are so close to their products or services they don’t know where to start. StoryBrand helps companies understand what customers are looking for so they can tell their story in such a way people listen.

We know how hard it is to communicate clearly and have helped thousands of large and small businesses clarify their messaging. And when you clarify your message, your website starts working for you, your team members are converted into a sales force and your customers speak a viral message that spreads.

StoryBrand has consulted with dozens of billion-dollar brands and thousands of small businesses. StoryBrand clients dramatically increase their revenue after learning the SB7 framework.

StoryBrand was founded by Donald Miller, creator of the SB7 framework. Don has studied story for decades and as such is versatile in a language human beings have been speaking for centuries. Combined, his 7 books have spent more than a year on the NYT Bestsellers list.

The human brain is drawn to CLARITY and away from confusion. If customers are confused about what you offer, they’ll look past you for somebody who can say it clearly. Once you clarify your message, your company will begin to grow. Companies that clarify their messaging win in the marketplace.
