Key Accountabilities

This role will support the strategic goals and day-to-day operations of the Events team. The candidate will be involved in the development, planning, and execution of all events in the Americas region, both in person and virtual, as well as the firm’s participation in industry conferences. This individual will also support corporate events such as the firm’s annual Global Investor Conference and collaborate with colleagues to execute other priority global initiatives, as needed.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and maintain the event calendar and plan for the Americas; field incoming event requests and facilitate senior leader decision-making for each opportunity

  • Coordinate and execute all aspects of Americas-based Brookfield events providing logistics support (venue & vendor research, catering, support materials, AV, rooming lists, registration and on-site support etc)

  • Assist with conference logistics required for sponsorships, including but not limited to: conference check-lists and due-dates for submission of materials, speaker registration, prep calls, rooming lists, client dinners/receptions venue research, marketing materials, post conference surveys

  • Coordinate with Branding on event deliverables to include invitations, signage, and all event related assets; create and manage event-related invitations and registration sites using Cvent event tool

  • Collaborate and contribute to the successful execution of the Brookfield Investor Conference, corporate events, board meetings, seminars as needed

  • Compile pre-and post-event documents (event strategy plans, briefing memos, post-mortems)

  • Manage post-event documents (final costs/budgets, post-event document, feedback forms)

  • Provide regular updates and communication to key stakeholders, report on metrics and key take-aways

Candidate Profile:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Events, or related field

  • 2-3 years’ professional experience   

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong passion for planning events

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, multi-task and prioritize

  • Organized, proactive and self-motivated individual

  • Ability to keep calm and problem solve quickly under high pressure moments

  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to deal effectively at all levels within the organization

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and event management tools (GlobalMeet, Cvent, etc)

  • Ability to stay focused, efficient, and effective in managing multiple priorities

  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment

  • Team player

  • Ability to travel to event sites and locations

  • Overtime as needed

Salary Range: $90K - $105K

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations
