The Datadog Global Events Team is hiring an Event Technology Manager to deploy and enhance technology solutions for Datadog customer-facing events, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees and internal stakeholders. This includes event registration tools (CVENT), mobile apps, schedule builders, peer to peer networking tools, on site event tech planning, and reporting. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing workloads on multiple international shows in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 30% domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Event Tech Stack- Act as subject matter expert as it relates to event technology systems (currently CVENT). This includes but is not limited to:
    • Registration (pre event and on site)
    • Content and exhibitor management system and tools (session catalogs, ERC)
    • Attendee tools (mobile apps, schedule builder, networking tools)
    • Reporting, security, and access control
    • Survey tools 
  • Event Registration Tool Configuration- Manage the creation and management of event registration for 10+ events throughout the year. This includes:
    • Aligning with event leads and cross-functional stakeholders  to understand event requirements and configuring technology to meet event needs and timelines.
    • Creating and testing registration work flows ensuring registration paths are working as expected, system generated emails are accurate, and navigating required changes.
    • Working closely with web and marketing operation teams ensuring critical APIs are functioning properly.
    • Liaise with content and sponsorship teams ensuring ERC and content processes are in place 
    • Navigating necessary translation needs for non-English hosted events
    • Discount code management
  • Mobile App and Attendee Tools Management Lead the planning and strategy for DASH and other assigned events mobile app/schedule builder. This includes:
    • Working with event leads to understand the desired launch date and creating necessary workback timelines.
    • Liaising with brand and web teams to ensure branding and overall user experience meets Datadog standards.
    • Contributing to communications planning as it relates to these tools.
    • Staying informed about updates and new available tools that can optimize attendee experience. Making recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Survey tools setup and reporting
  • On Site Event Technology Solutions- Contribute to on site registration check in planning and overall event technology solutions. This includes:
    • Liaising with CVENT in regards to on site event needs (event check in kiosks, session scanning, lead scanning, etc)
    • Working with event agencies to influence check in experience, scanning needs, and placement of RFID technology.
    • Staffing help desk at events supporting customers when needed and helping troubleshoot on site

Who You Are:

  • Applicant with 4-6 years of experience in event technology
  • Excited to redesign Datadog’s current event technology strategy and own the overall event tech stack management, including for our flagship annual conference, DASH and global Summits.
  • Meticulous with details
  • Comfortable collaborating with agencies and coordinating across multiple events at a time
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize deadlines, and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Versed in Cvent (or similar registration platform), Smartsheets, Google Workplace, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Marketo
  • Creative, innovative, and results-driven, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in B2B technology events is highly valued.
