EUROPEAN EV SALES ENGINEER / NETHERLANDS OR FRANCE OR GERMANY OR ITALY OR UNITED KINGDOM / HYBRID / COMPETITIVE PAY & GREAT BENEFITS
About The Team / Role
WEX is looking for a dynamic and results-driven European EV Sales Engineer to put us on the path to success as our customers seek to electrify their fleets. Working alongside our Business Development & Product teams, your role will be a vital bridge to WEX’s multiple and diverse sales teams.
Together with your existing knowledge of fleet and European EV, you will rapidly develop a deep understanding of WEX’s European EV products and Mixed-Fleet Strategy. You will use this to inspire, guide and support WEX’s European sales teams as they make direct sales to new and existing customers.
As our EV customer-base grows, you will nurture a select cohort of customers for a defined period of time post-close to ensure they remain delighted with the WEX EV offering. This will form a solid basis upon which we can expand across customer groups, and deeper into selling more complex propositions associated with EV charging, such as smart charging and flexibility trading.
Location: Remote in one of our European Office locations (London, Breda, Lille, Rome, Berlin).
How You’ll Make An Impact
-
Be the bridge between Business Development/Product teams, and the Sales Teams.
-
Evangelise EV within the sales teams and instill confidence in their ability to sell a new, different product to fleet customers.
-
Work with Product teams to train our Sales Teams and set them up for success.
-
Create the Playbook for how to run EV sales at WEX, and continue to review and optimize these processes.
-
Be familiar with the complexities of EV charging and emerging technologies (i.e. ISO15118), but also be able to explain the customer benefits in a simple-to-understand way.
-
Define and track customer success metrics and be comfortable presenting them across organizations, as well as upwards to Senior Management.
-
Keep ahead of the curve in terms of EV market developments so that you can be ready to work with sales teams when new features come to market.
-
Be the catalyst for a feedback loop from customers to Product and Business Development teams, as well as identify sales opportunities for WEX based on a thorough understanding of our competitive positioning.
Experience You’ll Bring
-
Experience working in the European EV ecosystem, and a clear understanding of MSPs, CPOs, CPMS, Hubs etc.
-
Fleet industry-related experience
-
Background in sales and enjoy working in a results-driven environment
-
Ability to think strategically, but not be afraid to act operationally: we need someone who will create the Playbook of how to sell EV solutions through WEX’s existing sales teams and channels.
-
Eagerness to evangelize EV, and do so in a credible way through facts, research and your own experiences
-
Yet, also recognise that change for customers and internal stakeholders is frightening: empathy will be your tool to get them onboard.
-
Possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
-
Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
-
Are detail-oriented and have a strong commitment to accuracy.
-
Are proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
-
Ability to work cross-functionally across a large matrixed organization
-
Excellent communication and attention to detail
-
Ability to communicate with teams from many cultures, especially where English may not be a common first-language.
