JOB PURPOSE:

The Logistics Excellence Specialist is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and supply chain functions. This role involves analysing processes, implementing best practices, and optimizing operations to achieve excellence in logistics performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Process Analysis: Evaluate current logistics processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

  • Best Practices Implementation: Develop and implement best practices to enhance logistics operations and achieve operational excellence.

  • Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyse logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Based on a given problem statement, able to conduct meaningful data analysis and bring outside benchmark to guide for solution findings and resolution.

  • Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators related to logistics operations. partners business by delivering proper insight and trustful data 

  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize logistics workflows.

  • Technology Integration: Utilize advanced analytics tools and software to enhance data analysis capabilities and support logistics planning. Can get processes automated and eliminate repetitive activities for the larger logistics team. 

  • Project Management: Lead and manage logistics projects, ensuring the timely and successful implementation of initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, share insights, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members on new processes and technologies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

SKILLS:

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations.

  • Project Management: Experience in managing projects and leading cross-functional teams. Ability to manage complex change initiatives.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics excellence, logistics operations, or a similar role.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerBI.

  • Strong understanding of Supply chain processes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company.
