Job Summary
This ETL Java Developer SME role is supporting support mission-critical systems in an Agile DevOps environment. You will have the opportunity to build strong systems, software, and cloud environments, and provide operations and maintenance for critical systems. This role also provides technical expertise in the design, development, implementation, and testing of customer tools and applications. Additionally, this role participates in major deliverables of projects throughout the software development lifecycle, including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing. And develops custom code/scripts to quickly extract, triage, and exploit data across domains and data stores.
Job Responsibilities

Design and implement a large-scale ingest system in a big data environment.

Analyze and design the best possible ELT processes to support enterprise data objectives.

Recommend methodologies to optimize visualization, organization, storage, and availability of large-scale data.

Participate in software programming initiatives using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, SpringBoot, and Hibernate.

Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon.

Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices

Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities
Basic Qualifications
-
Demonstrated experience performing ETL activities, including parser development, data flow management, data lifecycle policy implementation, and data model development.

Experience with data modeling and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
-
Extensive experience using Java for data processing, manipulation, or querying (SQL or NoSQL).

ETL/Data Integration experience using Spring, NiFi, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.

Experience with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
-
Masters with 15 or more years of relevant experience or a PhD with 13 or more years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

TS/SCI with a polygraph is required for consideration.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on the customer's systems.

Understanding of the customer's system development policies.

Additional certifications related to ETL and data integration tools.

Extensive experience with NiFi and Elasticsearch.
