Quilter Investors, part of the Affluent segment, specialises in creating and managing multi-asset investment solutions that cater to various risk profiles, aligning with clients' preferences and financial needs. These portfolios are designed as funds of funds, investing in third-party managers' products based on strategic and tactical asset allocation views, and they incorporate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.
Our Responsible Investment team is seeking a highly motivated ESG Data Analyst. This role involves collecting, analysing, and reporting on ESG data, which will support the organisation's sustainability initiatives. You will play a crucial role in delivering essential ESG data to investors and other stakeholders. Additionally, this role includes contributing to ongoing ESG integration activities, such as manager and fund research oversight.
We are seeking candidates passionate about sustainability and responsible investment, eager to use data and technology to enhance investment decisions and outcomes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the business-as-usual ESG data activities such as report creation, data validation, answering investor queries and investigating changes in the data.

Creating tools for our investors and researchers to enable ESG analysis, oversight of portfolios, funds and stocks.

Advance the systemisation of our processes across the RI team, including reporting, data delivery, stewardship and portfolio oversight.

Improving the robustness of our data strategy by designing and implementing data validation and oversight processes.

Analyse ESG data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement, as well as potential risks and material impacts. In addition, investigate potential data sources to ascertain usefulness and efficacy for our investment process

Create tools, reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate ESG data and insights to stakeholders, including investors, management, and other interested parties.

Provide data-driven recommendations to support the development and implementation of ESG strategies and programs.

Work with cross-functional teams, including the data management team and the investment risk team and others as we build out our internal RI data & reporting capabilities.
About You
The successful candidate will have:

Strong analytical and data analysis skills, including proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization, and data mining techniques

Demonstratable experience presenting complex data insights, including report writing, preparing and presenting analytical papers.

Strong research and investigative skills, with the ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data from various sources.

Demonstratable knowledge and understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards.

Understanding of financial concepts and investment principles, with knowledge of how ESG factors can impact a company's financial performance and investment decisions, particularly in a finance and asset management context.

Familiarity with data analysis software, databases, and reporting tools, including knowledge of Python, R, PL/SQL, DAX, PowerBI, PowerQuery, and Power Automate, with coding experience across the project lifecycle.

Experience with Factset, Rimes, and other market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, Thinkfolio, and Dasseti.

Good understanding of securities, funds, and portfolio construction, with experience in running fund and portfolio analytics.

Experience working in a regulated environment.
