As the Test Engineer, SAP you will be primarily responsible for testing the ERP functionality and processes, defining and developing automated tests and exploratory testing. You will collaborate closely with Business Process owners, Product Managers and the development team to understand the requirements and to make appropriate use of different tools and techniques including manual and automated testing.

The ERP and Business Applications department is comprised of a team of technical professionals and subject matter experts who know and understand the tools that we use to support the business. We strategically define business cases, prioritize projects, and deliver ERP and Commercial projects, ensuring that dependencies are mapped out and sequenced to deliver the overall Technology Roadmap. Together, we host, manage, and improve a range of technical tools for all aspects of design, business, finance, logistics, global sales, and many other heroes within the organization.
If you were the ERP Test Engineer, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Coordinating testing activities from preparation to execution for changes in a production ERP (SAP) environment
- Designing, developing and maintaining Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scenarios and/or Test Scripts based on requirements for System Integration, Functional, Regression, Performance, and Acceptance Testing
- Using Agile methodology develop testing process to identify errors and issues for bug tracking in business process and document in testing to improve the business productivity
- Defining and creating test automation and best practices. Working with automation and performance testing tools at various levels of applications
- Managing and monitoring User Acceptance Testing with key business users
- Tracking of defects and deficiencies for submission, review, triage and resolution
- Working closely with project managers to assess and triage issues or risks, while having a voice on “go/no go” release decisions
- Ensuring systems function according to business requirements and user expectations, by applying strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Championing quality guidelines and standards (including QA best practices)
- Collaborating with teams outside the SAP area to ensure that integration points are tested
- Working collaboratively with the Test Engineering team in the Technology team to ensure that best practices are being consistently followed, to avoid duplicating effort, and to help champion and implement quality initiatives

- Working collaboratively with business analysts and SAP Product Managers
- Leading the mentorship, training and onboarding of junior quality analyst team members
- Providing insight on sad path tests, exploratory tests and edge case tests
Are you our next the ERP Test Engineer?
- You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications in a related technical field
- You have 5+ years of recent software QA and Testing experience in application and data validation testing, with experience in SAP System
- You have experience with TOSCA and QTEST to automate the End-to-End functional testing for ERP Systems
- You have 2+ years testing experience with SAP S4/Hana in one or more of (SD, CAR, MM, EWM, FI) modules
- You have experience with functional testing, integration testing, developing test plans, test scenarios, writing and executing test scripts
- You have knowledge and experience with JIRA and Confluence
- You have previous experience with black box testing and some white box testing
- You are familiar with business enterprise applications and business process areas (ie. accounting, order entry, inventory management, etc.)
- You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen ability for problem solving
- You have proven organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- You have exceptional prioritization and multi-tasking abilities, and demonstrated experience meeting strict delivery deadlines
- You have effective time management and prioritization skills
- You have strong oral and written communication skills and an excellent command of English
- You have a driven attitude and a passion for championing quality in all forms
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration
