The Opportunity
As a ERP Development Services Lead you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of SAP ERP solutions within the organization. This role involves collaborating with functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration, customization, and enhancement of SAP ERP systems. The Development Lead will oversee a team of developers, integration specialists and security specialists and will also be responsible for ensuring the quality, scalability, and performance of SAP developments. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and management skills to drive the successful implementation and customization of SAP ERP solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of SAP developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Ensure alignment between the development team and the organization's SAP project goals.
- Manage projects and demands timelines, deliverables, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Oversee the projects and demands solutions for the projects and demands delivered by internal team or external vendors
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of custom enhancements, interfaces, and reports in SAP ERP systems.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure development follows Takeda SAP best practices, coding standards, and is aligned with business processes.
- Architect and design custom solutions that extend the functionality of SAP ERP.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP ERP and other enterprise applications.
- Monitor and optimize performance, ensuring system stability and scalability.
- Manage and support the development of ABAP programs, SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, SAP S/4HANA migrations, and other custom developments.
- Collaborate with the QA team to resolve issues and optimize development processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for custom developments and integrations.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Global chapter lead and other ERP Global Subchapter Leads and
- Identify team members to serve as leaders who help provide training and oversight for their people management responsibilities.
- Manage escalations, risks and issues related to the services delivered.
- Set targets for development and growth, and completes final assessment of team members in professional development, in alignment with the technical capability lead.
- Lead talent development and retention initiatives, including provisioning of training, sharing of best practices, and initiatives to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee delivery of performance evaluations for team members, factoring in individual contributions and collective team performance
Skills and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in SAP development with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP, SAP Fiori, and UI5 development.
- Experience with BTP
- Strong experience with BAPI, IDOCs, and ALE.
- Expertise in integration with third-party systems (via web services, APIs, etc.).
- Experience with SAP Workflow, SAP HANA, and SAP Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Experience developing and managing high performing teams
- Strong strategic thinking and decision making
- Has demonstrated success in leading IT and technical teams
- Ability to form strong working relationships across a matrix environment
- Excellent communication, listening and influencing skills; ability to listen, anticipate customer needs and influence solutions.
- Ability to lead effectively and work concurrently across multiple priorities in a goal-oriented, timeline-driven, and remote management work environment
- Solutions oriented, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop qualitative and quantitative approaches for identifying and assessing various options to provide solutions

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is €4450 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
