Our SAP Basis & Platforms team is responsible for the operation of central SAP systems and services based on SAP cloud and on-premise solutions; in use for global applications in all business areas at Covestro. With passion and deep technical expertise, you will build SAP Fiori or SAP Build Workzone architectures, develop best practices and support them in conjunction with other IT application teams. Your experience, curiosity and thirst for knowledge will help Covestro IT to make SAP-based applications attractive to our users worldwide.
In addition to our diverse benefits, you can expect an attractive starting salary between €87,200 and €105,900 per year plus a variable component. The starting salary is based on your qualifications and professional experience.
As our new SAP Cloud Expert (m/f/d), you will:

Take full responsibility for the design, implementation and operation of new and existing cloud-based SAP services and solutions, e.g. in the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). In doing so, you will ensure the highest quality standards.

Configuring and operating AWS cloud-based systems for our SAP landscape. This includes, for example, Job Scheduling Service (UC4 Automic) and archiving solutions (KGS).

Providing innovative cloud connectivity solutions such as SAP Cloud Connectors to take our digital infrastructure to the next level.

Act as a knowledgeable point of contact and provide expert help and support to your colleagues, as well as ensure that operational policies and compliance requirements are always met and that our systems are running securely.

Actively participate in continuous improvement processes and contribute your innovative ideas.

Keep up to date with best practices and the latest market solutions in the SAP cloud space.

Manage exciting sub-projects with functional responsibility and contribute your expertise, but also take responsibility for managing and successfully completing projects with limited scope.
your Profile:

You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent skills that make you an expert in your field.

With several years of experience in SAP basis administration, system management and SAP cloud infrastructure engineering (especially in the area of ERP systems or enterprise applications), you are ideally equipped for this challenge.

As a true cloud platform expert, you are highly knowledgeable about AWS and SAP BTP and can apply your knowledge profitably.

Your experience with SAP Solution Manager, AWS containerization technologies, and infrastructure-as-code tools makes you a valuable team member.

You have a knack for efficiently managing work processes and can maintain an overview even in complex situations.

You have excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English, both written and spoken.
