The ERLI Matriculation Manager is responsible for fostering connections with prospective students, families, and partners to promote the Embry-Riddle Language Institute (ERLI), an intensive English program that prepares speakers of other languages to enter and succeed in academic degree programs. The Matriculation Manager will implement targeted outreach strategies to attract students who can benefit from ERLI programs and ensure a seamless transition into ERAU’s academic programs. Additionally, the Matriculation Manager will assist with the coordination of the USA College Prep Academies program, providing logistical and operational support. This role is integral to expanding ERLI’s student base and contributing to ERAU’s internationalization and strategic goals. This position reports directly to the ERLI Director at the Daytona Beach Campus.
Outreach, Guidance, and Strategic Collaboration
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote the Embry-Riddle Language Institute (ERLI) to international students, families, education agents, partner institutions, and sponsoring organizations.
- Provide culturally sensitive advising and personalized communication to prospective students throughout the inquiry, application, and pre-arrival stages.
- Represent ERLI at virtual and in-person recruitment events, such as international education fairs, webinars, school visits, and partner presentations.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including education counselors, international organizations, U.S. embassies, and overseas institutions.
- Collaborate with ERLI leadership and other ERAU departments—including International Admissions, Graduate Admissions, and the Office of Global Engagement—to align recruitment and matriculation strategies.
- Track, manage, and analyze prospective student data using a customer relationship management (CRM) system (e.g., Salesforce) to support strategic communication and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed of global trends in international education and English language learning to help position ERLI competitively in key markets.
Administrative and Reporting Duties
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, prospective student engagement, and partner communication.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations related to international student enrollment and services.
- Generate and present regular reports on outreach performance, inquiry trends, application flow, and program outcomes to inform ERLI strategy and decision-making.
- Assist in maintaining program documentation, digital assets, and communication templates used for external engagement and internal reporting.
Program Support – USA College Prep Academies
- Support outreach and advising prospective students and families interested in the USA College Prep Academies, including responding to inquiries and sharing program materials.
- Assist with logistics during the two-week USA College Prep Academy sessions, including on-site coordination of activities, housing, transportation, meals, and excursions.
Other Duties as Assigned
- May include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in special projects, university events, or collaborative initiatives related to internationalization or student services.
- Provide additional support to the ERLI Director or team on an as-needed basis in response to evolving departmental or institutional priorities.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Area of study: Bachelor’s degree in International Education, Communication, Marketing, Higher Education, or a closely related field.
Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
- Proficiency in a second language.
- Experience with intensive English programs, academic pathway programs, or similar student support services.
- Knowledge of U.S. higher education systems, especially related to international admissions.
- Background in international education, student advising, or study abroad programming.
- Sales, marketing, or communication experience in promoting educational programs, especially to international audiences.
- Ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences and market segments using culturally appropriate marketing strategies.
- Experience living, studying, or working abroad in a cross-cultural context.
- Comfort with public speaking, both in-person and virtually, in front of international and multicultural audiences.
- Understanding of U.S. visa processes and SEVIS regulations as they relate to English language learners and international students.
- Proficiency with commonly used technology tools and platforms, such as Salesforce or other CRM systems, Microsoft 365, Zoom, and other virtual communication or data management tools.
