Location: Gleason, TN, Crenshaw, MS, Langley, SC and Kings Moutain, North Carolina

Program Length: Summer (12-16 Weeks)

Your Role:

Project Overview & Deliverables: Conduct flow measurements on all mine pit discharge outfalls

(14-16 outfalls). Compile field notes and measurements into a detailed report that clearly documents the results.

Project Learning Objectives: NPDES, wastewater treatment/monitoring, field measurements and sampling techniques, scientific reporting, mining

Ideal Candidates Are:

Pursuing a degree in: Relevant field, e.g., environmental or geology/bio eng

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Problem Solvers: Enjoy collaborating to tackle challenges.

Leaders: Demonstrate leadership in various settings, such as school clubs, sports 

teams, or work projects.

Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Compensation: The wage range for this role considers various factors such as location, student classification, and major. We offer competitive wages that reflect the value of your contributions and the cost of living at the program’s geographical location. 

States that require compensation on job description: The expected hourly rate for this position is $15.00 - $34.70 per hour. Compensation decisions are dependent on graduation date.
