Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement
- Manage waste reduction recycling, and disposal programs
- Oversee the implementation of energy-efficient practices and technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into facility operations
- Monitor and report environmental performance metrics
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes related to environmental sustainability
- Lead and mentor a team of environmental specialists and technicians
- Prepare and present environmental reports to senior management and regulatory agencies
Skill and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the manufacturing or energy sectors
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of implementing successful environmental initiatives
- Leadership experience and ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
