About the role
We’re seeking an Environment Advisor to provide environmental assurance support and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

As the Environment Advisor, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.
Day-to-day, you will:

Provide environmental assurance support and monitor compliance with regulations

Oversee environmental monitoring activities and manage relationships with external consultants and contractors to ensure project requirements are met

Maintain and update environmental documentation and risk registers
-
Support inspections and assurance activities to ensure environmental standards

Create and implement training programs to educate employees on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Physical Sciences, Earth Sciences or equivalent.

Strong knowledge and practical application of environmental legislations and standards across various jurisdictions
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an operational environment or major projects environment

Strong understanding of statutory environmental reporting requirements

Proficiency in environment monitoring, risk management and compliance assurance
-
Ability to influence stakeholders and workforce towards continuous improvement in environmental performance, with excellent communication and engagement skills

Experience in developing and implementing environmental management systems, including ISO 14001
