WHAT YOU WILL DO
This role consists of a 24 month training and development program that will prepare the participant to become a sales professional. The focus of the training program will be increasing new submissions, quotes and premium through the promotion of retail web based and telephone quoting systems.
This exciting entry level position offers a great starting salary, bonuses. You will be given hands-on training to do marketing and sales to solicit, establish, and maintain rapport with prospective and assigned retail agents to secure new and renewal business as well as participate in USLI’s 50/50 Sales training program.
Including, but not limited, to the following:
- Conduct at least 20 meetings with customers (in person or via video) a week to demonstrate web and phone quoting capabilities and register new users in order to drive new business submissions in the door.
- Weekly reporting of sales meetings that occurred each week and the forecasting of meetings scheduled for the upcoming weeks.
- Timely follow up and continuous communication with customers/prospects to find out and take advantage of additional opportunities.
- Systematic prospecting and arranging meetings with potential new customers, and with customers that have not reached their potential.
- Identify and establish a relationship with the key contacts making sure we are doing business with the right people in each retail operation.
- Work with their team to review web activity to spot trends positive and negative and addressing these trends immediately.
- Establish an active relationship with Regional Sales Manager and regularly discuss strategy and tactics including sales issues, travel and follow up.
- Pursue continuing education and insurance designations/licenses as outlined in the training and development plan. This will require self-study.
- Telephone assistance. This duty involves the ability to answer basic questions an agent may have.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience (Preferred but not required)
- Bilingual (Preferred but not required)
- 2-20 License (within 90 days of employment)
- Sales & Production driven mentality
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Exceptional telephone demeanor
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to multi-task
- Commitment to excellent in customer service
- Be a Team Player with a Positive Attitude
- Candidates will be expected to pursue continuing education and insurance designations/licenses as outlined in the training and development plan. This will require self-study.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, networking and relationship ability and ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Remain flexible under the pressure of a heavy workload and critical deadlines
- Open to coaching and continuous improvement
- This position may require overnight travel. Candidates travel to meet with customers and to attend networking events. They will participate in associations and conferences to further their network and understanding of the industry.
- This position requires travel which will require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or may require a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
