The Position
*This is a short term temporary assignment.
As an Enterprise DevOps Engineer, you will join the Enterprise Engineering cluster in the Product Development, Integration and Engineering chapter, you will partner with other internal experts, specializing in various aspects of enterprise engineering. Together, the team collaborates on multiple products that contribute to Roche's internal business requirements.
As a DevOps Engineer you will be accountable for optimizing and automating the deployment and management of platform and cloud-based services (e.g. LogicMonitor) to support the Reliability & Observability product development. You will also focus on ensuring cost-effectiveness, scalability, and security in all aspects of the digital product lifecycle, including development and maintenance activities.
Your key responsibilities:

Collaborate with architects and developers to establish technical specifications.

Have a good understanding of product strategy, business requirements and translating them into development tasks and when required lead DevSecOps activities
-
Drive the implementation and maintenance of efficient Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines to automate the software delivery process.

Deploy and manage the software application underlying infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles and tools and maintaining version-controlled configurations.

Implement robust security practices throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.

Implement observability solutions to measure the availability and performance of software applications.

Develop and maintain technical specifications, diagrams and supporting system documentation

Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Software and DevSecOps Engineering.
Your qualifications and experience:
-
Experience in full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering, design, software development, testing and retirement of systems
-
Experience with source code management tools (Gitlab, GitHub and/or Bitbucket)
-
Experience with CI/CD Pipelining (Gitlab-ci, Github actions and/or Jenkins)
-
Experience with IaC and configuration management tools and concepts such as Terraform Cloud, Hashicorp Vault, Consul, Ansible, etc…
-
Experience with observability and monitoring tools (DataDog, Splunk, LogicMonitor, Elastic Search, Grafana, etc)
-
Experience with containers and/or Kubernetes
-
Essential effective oral and written communication skills in English
-
Moderate travel is required and the ability to work across multiple time zones
Additionally, as a nice to have:

Python programming

Experience with Low Code (OutSystems)

Experience with hardening infrastructure

Experience with one of the following Public cloud providers: AWS, Azure or GCP.

Experience in developing and using validated systems.
Education / Years of Experience:

3 – 5 Years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 5 – 7 Years of relevant work experience

At least 3+ years experience of working in one or more multinational work environments (e.g. healthcare industry experience is a plus).
