The Caterpillar Enterprise Strategy Group is seeking an Enterprise Data Scientist to pair quantitative techniques with business acumen, providing data-driven insight and analysis in support of our Enterprise Strategy and our Growth Projects. This position will utilize multiple data sets throughout the enterprise and dealer network to identify data discrepancies, patterns, trends, and relationships, and will present and provide analysis through data visualization tools. The Enterprise Data Scientist offers a unique learning and development experience by working across a variety of Caterpillar teams.
What You Will Do:
- Wrangle, analyze, and interpret data to provide data-driven insights for strategic projects.
- Visualize and present analysis to senior leaders and advisors.
- Add a unique analytical perspective to cross-functional teams.
- Understand Caterpillar strategy and direction across multiple business units.
- You will be required to travel up to 10%.
What You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative field
- 5+ years of professional experience in or related to data analysis
- Data visualization experience (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Relational database experience (SQL)
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Analytical Programming experience (Python, R, etc.)
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and proactively problem-solve
- Attention to detail
- Intellectual curiosity

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
