Position Purpose
Provides direction, guidance and definition of enterprise-wide architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy. Researches, analyzes, designs, proposes and delivers solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies across multiple IT functional areas. Develops policies, standards, guidelines and governance that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of information technology within the organization. Facilitates backend hardware forecasting for multiple mission critical systems.
Essential Functions
- Directs and facilitates enterprise solution architecture for specific initiative by understanding the current state, articulating the desired future state, identifying the gaps between the two, and creating principles and implementation models to close the gaps.
- Facilitates the development of and documents enterprise standards guiding principles, designs, roadmaps, plans and position papers that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.
- Researches IT industry and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise and relates to future operations and projects needs. Analyzes the current business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and provides options for improvement.
- Designs, develops and manages the processes of backend hardware forecasting for organization’s mission critical applications.
- Consults on application and infrastructure projects to fit them to enterprise big picture. Performs enterprise architecture review processes for IT Service Lifecycle Management.
- Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of Trinity Health in leadership behaviors, practices and decisions.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health Corporate Integrity Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure to adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
- pay grade 16 range 103,589.24-170,922.2437 Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive experience with comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering in at least two (2) IT disciplines (such as strategic planning, solution architecture, technology architecture, network management, security management, change management, application development, middleware design, information analysis, database management, project management and operations management).
- At least five (5) years of experience in the health care industry and two (2) years in enterprise solution architecture in one or more IT specialty areas.
- Advanced to expert technical knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications, systems design and integration.
- Knowledge of healthcare processes and data linkages across clinical, financial, and patient administrative areas in acute care and outpatient settings.
- Ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking). Knowledge of multiple components of enterprise architecture. Demonstrate knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes. Basic knowledge of financial analysis and models.

- Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technology concepts to executive management.

Physical and Mental Requirements and Working Conditions
- This position operates in a typical office environment. The area is well-lit, temperature controlled and free from hazards. Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the phone, with people in all locations on product support issues. Manual dexterity is needed in order to operate a keyboard. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communication. The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects at the same time and adapt to interruptions. The incumbent must be capable of traveling in the course of completing project and training assignments. In order to meet deadlines, over time may be required.
- Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work assignments and priorities. Must be able to tolerate frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites (20%) as needed (may or may not apply).
