We are looking for an Engineering Technical Expert to join the team. This role is to provide technical support lead improvements to resolve manufacturing issues. This role will aid the Engineering and Operations teams to deliver the manufacturing schedule in a compliant, reliable and efficient manner. On time and right first time.

The Role

• To investigate and improve technical engineering related issues

• Assist the engineering operations team in resolving breakdowns and issues.

• Carrying out root cause analysis of plant downtime; target improvement to increase Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) to improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) whilst embedding a robust improvement philosophy within the Production Engineering team to create specific targeted training improvement plans.

• Delivering a clear vision/ plans for the team and being agile to evolving business needs.

• Driving a customer centric mindset and be the point of contact for the customer

• Assist the engineering operations team in resolving breakdowns and issues.

• Encouraging collaboration within and outside of the team.

• Developing team’s overall capability & providing coaching to team members

• Driving accountability via use of KPI

• Drive a culture of Safety, Compliance, Continuous Improvement & Inclusion

• Provide Opex budget forecarts and secure Capex funding.

• Manage Opex and Capex spend.

The Candidate

• Full time served engineering apprenticeship, or equivalent qualifications- Required

• Electrical / Mechanical engineer with extensive post apprenticeship experience in an Engineering role.

• Electrical Engineering experience - highly advantageous

• Working knowledge of tooling techniques and machining capabilities

• Technical breakdown expertise

• Production Engineering experience

• Experience with Continuous Improvements

• GMP experience

• Good team player
