In this role, you support cross-functional engineering teams through the phases of Customized Products (CusP), Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP), and New Product Development (NPD).
The focus is on delivering a finished product that meets both external and internal customer requirements. You will develop detailed project plans, including schedules for engineering tasks, resource allocation, and ensure that the projects meet the defined engineering milestones. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to ensure that projects are completed within the planned timeline.

Work closely with functional managers to ensure the necessary resources are available for all project phases (planning, design, development, testing).
-
Coordinate between different project teams to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and minimize conflicts in resource use.
Monitoring and Reporting
-
Track the progress of resources in each project and generate reports on the resource status.
-
Provide regular status updates and reports to management and functional managers to ensure transparency regarding resource deployment.
Resource Optimization
-
Analyze resource utilization and implement optimization measures to maximize efficiency.
-
Introduce processes that promote the continuous improvement of resource utilization.
Bottleneck and Conflict Management
-
Identify and resolve conflicts in resource allocation between different projects.
-
Reprioritize tasks and projects in case of resource conflicts or bottlenecks.
Interdisciplinary Communication
-
Support clear communication between various engineering departments (e.g., software, mechanics, electronics) and other involved teams.
-
Ensure all stakeholders are informed about the status of resource distribution and potential changes.
Training
-
Identify training needs within the engineering team regarding project time tracking.
What You’ll Bring
The requirements for an Engineering Resource Manager include a combination of technical skills, management competencies, and interpersonal skills.
-
You have experience in industries such as software, mechanics, or electronics to understand the needs of various teams.
-

-
You have the ability to work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
-
Also, you’ll work independently and take responsibility for resource planning and project support. An eye for detail is beneficial to ensure that all resource plans are up-to-date and efficient.
-
Ability to mediate and coordinate between different engineering disciplines to resolve conflicts. Professional verbal and written communication skills (German & English) to report the resource status and project progress to stakeholders and functional managers.
-
