Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well-established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions.
As an Engineering Quality Intern, you will ensure the implementation of processes, practices and specific tools, to make sure quality on product development is in line with the Mobile Connectivity and Solution Business Line tailored processes as well as the technical requirements and international regulations (ISO, ASPICE, etc.) for the embedded projects.
Responsibilities:
- Learn how solutions developed (HW and SW) comply with both customer and company requirements
- Assist development teams in documenting and tracking quality issues
- Help collect and organise data from audits, returns, and customer feedback
- Support the team in maintaining records of product conformity and customer communications
- Observe and contribute to project reviews under guidance of senior team members
- Learn about Thales practices and help maintain relevant documentation
- Support internal audit preparation and documentation
Main Tasks:
- Help track compliance with Quality Assurance requirements
- Assist in preparing Quality Plans for development projects
- Support quality testing activities including observation of FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
- Help monitor and document anomalies and non-conformities
- Learn about certification standards (ISO 9001, ASPICE) by supporting preparation activities
- Assist in compiling information for Certificates of Conformity
- Help prepare for and document internal audits
- Assist in collecting and tracking KPIs for Engineering Teams
- Support documentation of post-mortem sessions and track improvement actions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical disciplines
- Interest in Quality Assurance and process improvement
- Basic understanding of development lifecycles and testing
- Familiar with quality concepts and standards is a plus but not required
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in multicultural teams
- Basic knowledge of tools like Microsoft Office, and willing to learn platforms like Jira and Confluence
