The Manager of Project Engineering will oversee a team of Project Engineers, ensuring successful project execution from concept to implementation. This leader will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer specifications, timelines, and budgets. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to drive efficiency and innovation within the engineering team.
Your tasks
Job Purpose

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Engineers to achieve individual and team goals.

Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and company standards with common technologies in the material handling industry such as AutoStore, light-goods conveyor, AMRs, etc.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, procurement, and Customer Service to ensure successful project delivery within the US and globally.

Manage resources across the project portfolio, budgets, and resources, providing regular updates to senior leadership and customers.

Foster continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices, process optimization, and innovative solutions within the engineering team.

Support strategic innovation and R&D through evaluation of new technologies, partners, and internal tool development both within the US and globally.

Drive engineering standardization and processes across projects, ensuring scalability and consistency in engineering outputs.

Serve as a technical escalation point to resolve challenges and provide hands-on guidance as needed.

Manage state and local licensing requirements as needed to perform work in each area.

Job Requirements
Training/Education:
-
Business or technical degree in engineering or a similar field recommended.
Professional Experience:
-
5+ years of experience in project engineering with 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
Other Experiences:
-
Proven experience managing multiple complex projects in industrial automation, material handling, or related industries.

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, or equivalent).

Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical drawings, and manufacturing processes.

Experience with state and local licensing process and requirements a plus

PE certification a plus

Ability to use AutoCAD, MS office suite, other similar software programs
