Our Engineering Management team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness, speed, and security of our Product and delivery of the new initiatives. Dedicated to enhancing performance, providing a best-in-class user experience, ensuring compliance, and safeguarding data, the team's efforts directly impact our ability to offer clients a seamless and secure trading journey.


We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team(s). As an Engineering Manager you will be leading one of the organisational domains, improving efficiency and productivity of the engineering team(s) and ensuring timely delivery of work within the domain. You will play a crucial role in driving engineering culture, organisation growth, operational excellence, fostering collaboration, and enabling efficient engineering and delivery management. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and exceptional organisational skills.

Experience & Domain Knowledge Requirements:

  • Product: Experience working in a Product-led fast-paced environment as a team leader/manager
  • Financial Applications Proficiency: Experience in FinTech, Banking, or similar areas is a must
  • Craftsmanship: Be both highly technical and an effective people manager
  • Delivery: In-depth practical knowledge of the Agile methodologies/frameworks and and iterative development processes
  • Architecture and Design: Knowledge of software architecture patterns, system design principles, scalability, and performance optimization
  • Analytical Thinking: Data-driven leader utilising metrics to problem-solving and decision-making, and performance indicators to assess team efficiency and identify improvement
  • Engineering Efficiency: Deep understanding of end-to-end software development lifecycle, from planning and coding to production release and maintenance
  • Ownership and Accountability: Result-oriented individual with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to learn from project failures

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop engineering team members across multiple disciplines (software development, QA, DevOps), ensuring continuous growth and a high performance team culture. Facilitate 1-2-1’s and provide feedback, goal settings and performance reviews, and support for career progression and performance improvements (where required)
  • Delivery: In partnership with Product, assume full responsibility for the success of the team’s work, including resources capacity planning, to ensure delivery of the various projects and commitments with multiple dependencies in an ambiguous and high-impact area
  • Operational Stability: Ensure full operational stability of the assumed technology domain and maintain and constantly improve production systems quality within agreed KPI’s and SLO’s 
  • Servant-Leadership: Being accountable for both successes and failures, while fostering a culture of ownership within the team. Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals
  • Visibility: Work closely with multiple organisations (Architecture, SRE, Product, Compliance, Business, etc.) to develop short and long-term technical strategies. Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and keep everyone involved aligned
  • Engineering Champion: Advocate of technical excellence, working in collaboration with architecture function, implement long term technical vision and guide technical decisions, ensuring best practices in architecture, system design, and technology choices while maintaining high product delivery efficiency
  • Process Improvement: In collaboration with SRE function, continuously evaluate and improve development processes, workflows, and practices. Drive innovation, establish new approaches in improving productivity of the team and time to market while maintaining product quality and engineering code standards

  • Analytical thinking: Ability to tackle and investigate complicated problems and convert it to the task
  • Adaptability to Rapid Changes: Demonstrated capability to adjust to quick technological shifts and evolving business requirements
  • Ownership and Accountability: Readiness to take ownership of tasks, issues as well as demonstrate accountability of the results and outcome

IOPS™, which fits directly into existing workflows and operating rooms, eliminates this excessive radiation exposure by creating manipulable 3D models of the relevant anatomy.
