Position Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager for the Merchant Experience team whose mission is to seamlessly onboard our merchants into our platform, simplify payment method activation, and enable them to understand and grow their business through our web-based Merchant Portal. As Boku broadens its global reach and expands payment method offerings, your leadership will be essential in driving this growth. In partnership with key stakeholders, you will help validate the product roadmap and steer the team’s technical strategy and execution. Additionally, you will engage directly with merchants to understand their technical challenges and develop innovative and scalable solutions to meet their needs. We work in a hybrid environment with the flexibility to work from home or office (2 days a week).

Responsibilities
Lead a team of 5-7 engineers that include hiring, performance management, career development, etc
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and assistance to the team in executing product roadmaps and building scalable, easy-to-use applications.
Collaborate cross-functionally with the Product, Design, and Operations teams.
Collaborate with the Product Manager on the team roadmap and help set the long-term technical vision for the team.
Work closely with key stakeholders to engage with our merchants and collaborate with the customer success team.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant engineering work experience and 2+ years of management experience.
Able to thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
Experience in developing web-based products for end users.
Experience with Java or other OOP languages.
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular, React, Vue.js, etc.
Experience working in a globally distributed environment.
