GetYourGuide’s new payments team is at the forefront of enabling a world-class payment experience that empowers millions of travelers to book unforgettable experiences. We design the systems that allow our customers to pay securely using a diverse set of payment methods, improving the customer experience and authorization rates while keeping payment costs and fraud in check. Our collaborative culture fosters teamwork and innovation, and combined with continuous optimization helps us achieve our strategic goals and elevate how travelers book on GetYourGuide.

You will:

• Be responsible for all hiring and performance management topics on the Engineering side helping your engineers reach their full potential!
• Partner closely with your Product Manager to manage the roadmap and portfolio allocation to drive impactful projects.
• Find pragmatic solutions to complex technical challenges that span across multiple services, platforms and domains of our Marketplace.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in the broader business on initiatives.

Who you are:

• You are experienced in the field of payments. You feel at home in the world of acquirers, card networks, authorization, 3D Secure, chargebacks, PCI compliance and more.
• Monitoring payment infrastructure and ensuring continuous uptime and graceful degradation is second nature to you.
• You have a strong sense of ownership ensuring that technical and project plans are aligned with your stakeholders & team members for delivery!
• Enjoy approaching complex topics with an open mind and eye for simplicity.
• Have a passion for people, supporting and coaching your engineers without going into micromanagement mode.
• Not only care about technical topics but are passionate about the customers and apply that judgment to your own roadmap.
• Motivated to work in an international cross-functional environment.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with payment orchestration or building and managing in-house payment processing infrastructure
• Experience working in a startup environment taking projects from start to finish
• Experience working in (or closely with) e-commerce marketplaces
• Experience operating as a product manager/owner
