Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to drive the development and scaling of our marketplace platform. As part of our engineering team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the architecture, design, and implementation of both front-end and back-end systems. You will also lead a team of engineers, working collaboratively to ensure our platform is scalable, reliable, and performs well under high demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and scaling of our marketplace platform, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and optimized for high traffic.
• Work across the full-stack (backend-heavy), including designing and implementing new features, optimizing existing ones, and ensuring the overall performance of the platform.
• Architect, develop, and deploy software solutions using Python, React/React Native, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentor and lead a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and best practices.
• Take ownership of the platform’s DevOps processes, ensuring smooth deployment, monitoring, and automation.
• Build systems with a focus on security, performance, and scalability, ensuring they can handle rapid growth in users and data.
• Continuously identify and address technical debt and areas for improvement in the platform.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of full-stack web development experience, with a focus on backend technologies.
• Proficiency in Python, React/React Native, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Strong experience with DevOps, including automated deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure management.
• Proven track record of building and scaling marketplace platforms in fast-growing companies.
• A degree in Computer Science from a top-tier institution.

• Previous experience as a founder or co-founder in a technology-focused startup.
