Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the development and design of drug delivery devices, overseeing all aspects of the engineering process from conceptualization to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, human factors, regulatory, laboratory and research to ensure alignment and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Drive innovation by researching and implementing new technologies and methodologies to improve product performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Support sales and marketing efforts to develop contracts and communicate the value of Nemera’s technical offering.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting best practices, and implementing robust design control processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support to resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Cultivate relationships with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and support business objectives.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, specifically in drug delivery devices.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, etc.) and a proven track record of successful product launches.
- Proficiency in CAD software, Solid Works and other relevant engineering tools.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Experience working in a consulting environment.
