YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Engineering Aide to support the development and integration of advanced aerospace defense systems. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, program managers, and technical teams to manage documentation, collect test and design data, support configuration control processes, and ensure accurate tracking of engineering deliverables. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day engineering operations by maintaining records, assisting with process tracking, and ensuring that engineering documentation is organized, accessible, and aligned with program milestones. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven aerospace environment and contribute to the execution of high-impact defense programs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support engineers in maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including test procedures, work instructions, test plans, and engineering reports. 
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and revision of engineering documents to ensure they reflect the most current design and program requirements. 
  • Collect and organize technical data from cross-functional teams for reporting, tracking, and archival purposes. 
  • Maintain configuration control by tracking document revisions, change orders, and version histories across engineering deliverables. 
  • Support the coordination of documentation between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management teams. 
  • Ensure engineering files and databases are well-organized, current, and compliant with internal and contractual requirements. 
  • Assist in the scheduling, planning, and documentation of engineering reviews and technical meetings. 
  • Track action items, deliverables, and deadlines related to engineering tasks and program milestones. 
  • Help prepare materials for design reviews, presentations, and technical status updates. 
  • Perform basic data entry, analysis, and formatting of engineering content as needed to support technical teams. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in a technical or administrative engineering support role; OR associate degree in engineering technology, aerospace, or a related field. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation across multiple projects. 
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, change requests, and basic documentation standards. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable working in digital file management systems. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across diverse teams. 
  • U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of defense contracts. 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience working in an aerospace or defense engineering environment. 
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools and document control systems such as SharePoint, Windchill, or similar. 
  • Understanding of engineering lifecycle documentation and industry standards such as AS9100 or MIL-STD. 
  • Experience assisting in the preparation and coordination of design reviews or technical meetings. 
  • Ability to quickly learn new software tools and platforms used for engineering project tracking. 
  • Exposure to project tracking or PLM systems for engineering deliverables and design changes. 
  • Active or eligible U.S. security clearance strongly preferred. 

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary:  $31 - $53 / hr 
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave 

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience. This position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Denver. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
  • Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
