Role Summary:
As a Solutions Engineer at Prefect, you will be a primary contact with our customers. You will own the technical relationship and be responsible for their success. You will find a balance of providing them with solutions using existing functionality and advocating on their behalf by supporting their use cases during our internal product planning sessions.
We expect our Solutions Engineer to be product focused and enthusiastic to take on new challenges and drive our product and culture forward. You will be tasked with building processes and operations that scale in addition to building close relationships and processes with other members of our organization, primarily in engineering. You will proactively identify opportunities for improvement, build consensus, track risks and dependencies and lead projects to completion with a positive attitude.
You will report to the Manager of Solutions Engineering, Rob.
What You'll Do:
- Engage directly with customers to design, develop and deploy solutions

Develop a clear, technical understanding of our solution, best practices and competing solutions

Build technical solutions for customers using Prefect

Build and support long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with new Commercial clients

Present and demonstrate the value of Prefect from a technical perspective to prospective clients

Help bring in new business to Prefect through, achieving monthly revenue goals
Your Qualifications:
-
2+ years of experience as a solutions engineer
-
2+ years of working in a customer facing role
-
2+ years of Python experience
-
2+ years of experience in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
-
1+ years of experience working with databases (ex. PostgresSQL)
-
You genuinely care about the customer experience and want to ensure customers are happy and utilizing the product
-
Deep discovery skills and the ability to uncover problems
-
Robust work ethic, you never settle for "good enough"
- Experience delivering projects from creation to production

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000- $111,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and work location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Your recruiter can share more about the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please keep in mind that equity is not included in the range provided above and will represent a significant part of your total compensation. Benefits and any bonus or incentive compensation is also not included in the range provided above.
