Summary:
As a Lead Platform & Salesforce Engineer, you are responsible for managing the developments and enhancements of the billing and subscription platform(s). Lead a team of developers and analysts. Communicate with business units to gather requirements, outline solutions, and follow through on completion of the requests.
What You'll Do:
- Lead a team of on-shore + off-shore developers, interact with business owners and stakeholders to enhance and extend functionalities for our
Salesforce digital subscription and billing platform - Drive daily scrum meetings, analyze and assign user stories, identify/resolve gaps in functional user stories/business requirements
- Build solutions on top of Salesforce platforms: Salesforce Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Communities, and Salesforce Knowledge
- Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules,
and email Alerts - Develop end to end Salesforce solutions using Configuration and Customization - APEX Class, Triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, etc.,
- Work with our API team to build integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth, and Single Sign-On.
- Manage code and feature deployments using CI technologies like Gearset, Salesforce DX, Jenkins
- Perform data updates and data migration using Informatica, Data Loader, and other similar tools
- Perform independent code reviews and write unit/integration test cases
- Ability to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects that may be reported as a result of faults in the production system
- Assist in writing technical approach and design documentation as required
Who We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of total IT experience with at least 2+ years of Salesforce development experience
- Salesforce customization and configuration experience (at least 1 or more of the following five Salesforce modules: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud,
Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Communities and Knowledge) - Hands-on development experience using Salesforce configuration and customizations using Apex, Visualforce,
Triggers, Scheduled and Batch classes, etc., - Experience integrating Salesforce with other technologies using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth, and/or Single Sign-On
- Experience with ETL tools like Informatica Cloud
- Knowledge of Product Development Lifecycle and DevOps. Familiar with tools like git, Jenkins, JIRA, etc.
- Have a thorough understanding of Salesforce deployment process and tools like Gearset
- Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, Agile environment and manage agile task assignments
- Background in subscription and billing platforms is a plus
- Development experience in UI technologies is a plus like (Bootstrap, Lightning Design System (LDS), Lightning Components Development,
AngularJS, jQuery), JavaScript would be a plus - Preference for candidates who are Salesforce.com certified in the following areas - Certified Platform Developer I, Certified Platform Developer II
