Responsibility

  • Reporting to Engineering Manager or Sr. Manager to drive technical problem resolution and process execution to ensure production targets are met and product quality meets customer expectations.
  • Manage our CM and technical solution of process and product to drive for production yield, productivity and cost improvement.
  • Work closely with Product engineer team in Ottawa and R&D to support accelerated new product transfer starting from NPI (New Product Introduction) through full-scale production.
    • Transfer, install, set up and verify the process equipment and processes until completely release to production.
    • Manufacturing process and tooling design, installation, verify buy-off and release to production.
    • Manufacturing documents preparation, provide training and maintaining the process control in production.
    • Create manufacturing documents such as work instruction, control sample builds, optimization and complete transfer into mass production.
  • Collaborate with different functions as manufacturing engineering representative function.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across geographical boundaries on a worldwide basis with R&D and Manufacturing groups in the United States and Canada
  • Technical solution of process and product to drive for production yield, productivity and cost improvement.

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree of Engineering or above in Electronics, Optical (Eng. Physics) or related field.
  • 10-20 years’ work experience in high technology work environment, optical and/or electronics in progressive
  • Knowledge and experience with manufacturing (assembly and testing) of high end optical blades and circuit card assemblies.
  • Understand and familiar with manufacturing process control tools and method such as SPC, DFM, FMEA, etc.
  • Demonstrated skills/knowledge of complex PCBAs, EDFAs and ROADMs
  • Fluent in the use of office tools, experience in use of statically process tools preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in test and testing programming in VB macro would be an asset
  • Good command in English communication reading, writing and speaking.
