Job Description

As an Engineer, Remote Support you will provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging systems. You will be expected to respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

In this role, based either in Poland or Germany, you will report into a Team Leader, and you will support our German speaking portfolio of customers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers including end-user Operators, OEMs, Developers, System Administrators, Field Consultants, and Engineers.
  • Team member of our Visualization Software team where you will have the opportunity to work with leading FactoryTalk OperationSuite software.
  • Create and publish knowledgebase articles.
  • Provide exceptional customer service from start to resolution for each issue.
  • In most cases, this support will be provided via e-mail. Support via phone or technical notes could also be required in some cases.
  • In this role work takes place on shift mode from Monday to Friday between 8-17h.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems (other degrees considered based on relevance to the role) or one year experience with Rockwell Automation or similar software products.
  • Fluent English and German language skills are mandatory for the role.
  • Good knowledge of the product range and applications of industrial automation in connection with software solutions and IT systems.
  • Self motivated, good communication skills and team-oriented personality.
  • Customer focus

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Knowledge of VMWare, (Windows Servers), Ethernet networking, HMI systems, IIS, SQL.
  • Knowledge of PLCs.
