The Manufacturing Engineer II role, evaluates and introduces process and product modifications, standards and improvements through knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, while increasing product quality, output and cost effectiveness for the corporation.  The role will also be responsible for various Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) tasks along with Purchasing and/or Buying tasks. This role is based out of Monticello, IN, and would require this individual to be on site regularly.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and modifies equipment to ensure safety and efficiency in the production line. 

  • Implements corrective actions. 

  • Reviews and verifies accuracy of existing procedures and bill of materials.  

  • Negotiates final design to ensure manufacturability and product requirements.  Conducts testing and evaluation of products and processes. 

  • Conducts studies for process and product improvements. 

  • Develops analyses and testing procedures to anticipate any potential process or product failure. 

  • Conducts studies to improve plan layout, production line efficiency and production line control. 

  • Contributes to product failure mode and effects analyses. 

  • Manages product or process development projects. 

  • Collaborates on technical program objectives and product specifications that meet marketing and manufacturing needs. 

  • Recommends and employs new equipment. 

  • Provides technical support to developers to ensure manufacturability of developed products and processes. 

  • Complete Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ year of experience in engineering (Manufacturing or mechanical preferred) or will accept equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Discrete manufacturing process experience

  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks

  • EHS experience

  • Project Management

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with Purchasing and/or Buying
