We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team at North SITE (Kinneret area).
The successful candidate will focus on 5G NR testing, working closely with 3GPP standards and ORAN specifications to create and execute comprehensive test plans for testing 5G NR functionalities.
What will you do:
- Automation using Python libraries of the manual cases, which were identified during the test plan stage, to hand over to other teams for continuous integration.
- Creating test scripts using available test tools. This will involve getting familiarized with the test tools and
- Figuring out innovative ways of re-creating practically possible scenarios.
- Creating test plans on 5G NR features by following 3GPP and ORAN standards.
- Executing test cases and validating the test status based on the expectations for the test case.
- Ability to fully understand system logs, test tool logs and use this understanding for debugging issues and identifying accurate root causes for the problems seen on the system under test or in the network.
- Ability to build simple/complex test setups as per the requirements of the test cases.
- Using the test expertise and identifying overall improvements and enhancements which are possible on the system.
- Debugging field log/data and identifying potential problems and re-creating the same in the lab.
What you should have:
- 5+ years of experience in 5G NR testing or a similar role, with a focus on network protocols and telecommunications.
- Hands-on experience with 3GPP and ORAN standards and their application in the testing of 5G NR technologies.
- Strong experience in automation testing, particularly using Python for script development.
- Proficiency in working with test tools and the ability to create test scripts to automate and streamline testing processes.
- Solid understanding of system logs, test logs, and the ability to analyze and debug issues effectively.
- Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) practices and the ability to integrate automated tests into the CI pipeline.
- Ability to design and build test setups that accurately simulate real-world scenarios.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when debugging and identifying issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with creating and executing test plans based on standards and specifications.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
