Engagement Strategist – Health Marketing

We are currently looking for an Engagement Strategist with significant experience from a health marketing agency to join our European team.
You will play a pivotal role in the Inizio Evoke Europe (IEE) Strategy & Insights (S&I) team by orchestrating content and tactics that deliver a seamless omnichannel experience with the objective of changing behaviour. Specifically, the Engagement Strategist is responsible for successfully identifying how to reach the right audience segments with the right content at the right time in a way that enables us to deliver best in class omnichannel programmes grounded in behavioural science. Put simply, they provide the deep understanding of audience connection points that ensure our ideas really do thrive in real lives.
You will form part of a highly collaborative, award-winning team and expected to work with individual accountability , taking ownership of customer engagement strategy across a wide range of briefs and provide coaching and transfer of knowledge to colleagues within the S&I team and beyond, as appropriate. On occasion, you will work with colleagues and services within the wider Inizio group - for example to deliver new business projects / opportunities.
Key areas of responsibility
- To be the engagement lead on designated projects, ensuring an audience-first approach is integrated into the development and activation of content and tactics:
- To collaborate with IEE teams / functions to plan and deliver engagement strategy consultancy that is insight-driven and rooted in behaviour change
- To inspire outstanding ideas by collating and analysing deep audience and channel insights grounded in data
- To support, build and deliver omnichannel or multi-channel programmes based on clear audience journeys and data-driven recommendations of appropriate earned, paid and owned channels
- To develop context, content and channel insights in partnership with other teams / functions that power omnichannel brand experiences
- To promote the value of analysis and evaluation of the programme objectives against specific audience engagement objectives and channel metrics
- To advise, inspire and excite clients about our work, whether through face-to-face meetings, calls, workshops or written presentations and proposals
- To provide unique insights into business and customer objectives that help clients maximise customer engagement and loyalty
- To promote the value of integrating behavioural science into content and tactics, audience journeys, and omnichannel planning
- To ensure excellence not only in strategic outputs but in the operational management and execution of programmes. This includes, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to budget ensuring commercial success
- To contribute to pitches and / or new business opportunities (see below)
- To champion the agency’s strategic methodology, output and consultancy capability, contributing to a high value and differentiated proposition
Key competencies and skills
- Previous experience as a strategist working within a health marcomms agency.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with international client and agency teams across science and medical, commercial, creative, engagement and client services functions
- Confident leading engagement strategy for new projects whilst influencing and inspiring confidence in senior clients and senior agency teams
- Able to gather and sift relevant actionable insights from a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative sources at speed as well as translate them into compelling stories and clear audience journeys
- Confident providing strategic feedback to creative teams that inspires and refines content and tactics
- Excellent knowledge of best practice within digital channels and proactive approach to monitoring the latest trends and innovations
- Confident designing, organising and moderating workshops, with superb presentation skills
- Strong excel and PowerPoint skills, familiarity with virtual collaboration tools such as Miro, Mural, Teams
- Good understanding of the regulatory environment we operate in and a thirst for pushing boundaries to deliver the best outcomes for patients
- Advanced understanding of contemporary omnichannel planning and audience engagement principles
- Strong understanding of behavioural science principles and change techniques
- Able to train and inspire more junior team members with empathy and a positive growth mindset
