The EMEA Growth team is seeking an experienced Prospecting Manager to join their team and support their mission to unlock full-circle growth across the EMEA region - Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role blends strategic oversight with tactical execution, requiring expertise in business development, stakeholder management, and communication strategy.
The successful individual will offer five to eight years of experience in a business development role where they are responsible for prospecting strategy development and structuring outbound pursuits to create new client opportunities. This role requires but is not limited to prospect identification and management across the business, prospect mapping, and working closely with internal stakeholders and marketing to identify the solve we offer, and the collateral/actions required to deepen Edelman’s prospect relationship. An understanding of integrated communications and Edelman’s unique offerings with strong analytical skills is a distinct advantage. Operating at a regional rather than a market level, the individual should be able to identify the right tools and approach to sharpen our prospecting effort and be prepared to roll their sleeves up to make it happen.
Success will be measured by the individual’s ability to generate fit-for-business leads, effective pipeline management, and a clear ability to support internal stakeholders in unlocking new client opportunities.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Prospect Identification and Management;
- Identify, evaluate, and manage potential clients across the EMEA region for our sector, practice, and specialism leads.
- Conduct research and mapping to understand prospect needs, priorities, and opportunities for engagement working alongside internal stakeholders.
- Develop the approach to target prospects effectively.
- Prospecting Strategy Development;
- Contribute to and implement robust prospecting strategies to create new business opportunities.
- Leverage tools, data, and analytics to sharpen prospecting efforts. Put forward new platforms and build the business case for pilot and investment.
- Outbound Pursuit Structuring;
- Create and execute outbound strategies tailored to specific prospects.
- Ensure pursuits are structured for success by aligning efforts with organizational capabilities.
- Ensure efforts are tracked and learnings are synthesized to optimize outcomes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration;
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify solutions, align to prospect needs.
- Partner with the EMEA Marketing team to develop effective collateral to enhance engagement with prospects.
- Partner with our CRM lead to ensure HubSpot is integrated appropriately.
- Integrated Communications Knowledge;
- Apply an understanding of integrated communications and Edelman’s unique offerings to prospecting activities. Ensure the approach reflects our value proposition and capabilities.
- Lead Generation and Pipeline Management;
- Generate high-quality, fit-for-business leads that align with Edelman’s goals.
- Maintain and manage a well-organized and actionable pipeline.
- Monitor, report, and optimize lead generation efforts for sustained success.
- Operational Execution;
- Proactively implement and manage tools, processes, and approaches to enhance prospecting outcomes.
- Demonstrate a hands-on approach to ensuring objectives are achieved.
- Performance Measurement;
- Track success through measurable outcomes such as lead generation, pipeline health, and new client acquisitions.
- Use metrics to refine strategies and report progress to leadership.
- Industry Engagement;
- Stay updated on trends and innovations in our industry and major client wins across our key competitor set.
- Where relevant support marketing and represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the network and generate leads.
