As a EMEA PFS Margin Associate within the Prime Brokerage Margin team, you will be exposed to day-to-day operational and client facing functions including firm and regulatory risk monitoring, review and approval of collateral movements, plus maintaining equity levels on margin loans. These functions are inclusive of providing first class client service to our Prime Brokerage/Hedge Fund clients and internal stakeholders.
Job responsibilities
- Enforce firm and regulatory policies with respect to securities brokerage accounts
- Review and approve daily requests for collateral withdrawals
- Review various exceptions in a timely manner, and follow an appropriate course of action for their resolution
- Execute flawlessly departmental policies and control procedures
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal support departments and external clients of JP Morgan Prime Brokerage
- Liaise with clients in regards to margin call funding and disputes, working as intermediary between client and risk to negotiate reductions or corrections to margin rates
- Coding and running prospect client portfolios as directed by risk
- Coordinating solutions for clients leveraging multiple internal teams not limited to PBMO, Corporate Actions, Swap, F&O, OTC, FX, Pricing, Risk, Credit, Repo and Client Service
- Maintain a broad knowledge of the securities industry and events impacting markets
- Create both strategic and tactical controlled solutions to challenges, through clear demand specification, UAT, to final production release
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Financial industry or client service related experience
- Excellent verbal, mathematical, and written communication skills
- Exposure to multiple securities products, including derivatives as part of the PB's cross margin and prime collateral offerings
- Strong awareness of compliance, control, and operational risk across various Lines of Business
- Demonstrate sound problem solving skills and decision making
- Competent in MS Office applications
- Series 99 qualified or in progress
- Able to work collaboratively as a team to ensure deadlines, client expectations and accuracy standards are maintained
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with Alteryx and Tableau
