Role Summary
As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in operationally supporting our business by analyzing data, identifying sales trends, and creating comprehensive reports. Your primary focus will be on utilising PowerBI, Excel, and other tools to make sense of unstructured data, assess business performance against targets, and provide actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.


  • Create and maintain detailed and dynamic PowerBI dashboards that provide real-time insights into business performance.


  • Develop and present reports that highlight key sales trends, macro and microeconomic trends, and other critical business metrics.


  • Utilise Excel to perform advanced data analysis, including complex calculations, data modeling, and scenario analysis.


  • Transform unstructured data into structured, actionable insights that can drive decision-making across the organisation.


Business Performance Assessment:

  • Regularly assess business performance against set targets, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.


  • Provide recommendations to senior management based on data-driven analysis, helping to guide strategic planning and resource allocation.


  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales targets, and other metrics that align with business goals.


Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to understand their data needs and deliver tailored reports and insights.


  • Assist in the development and refinement of business processes by providing data-backed recommendations.


  • Support ongoing projects by providing data analysis, forecasting, and reporting as required.


Tools and Technology:

  • Leverage PowerBI to create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards.


  • Maintain a high level of proficiency in Excel, utilising advanced functions, pivot tables, macros, and VBA to streamline reporting and analysis processes.


  • Continuously explore new tools and technologies to enhance data analysis capabilities and reporting efficiency.


Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.


  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on data analysis, reporting, and business performance assessment.


  • Advanced proficiency in PowerBI, with a track record of creating effective dashboards and reports.


  • Mastery of Excel, including advanced functions, data modeling, pivot tables, and VBA.


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform unstructured data into actionable insights.


  • Fluent in written and spoken English


Preferred:

  • Experience working with large datasets and integrating data from multiple sources.


  • Familiarity with other data visualisation tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is a plus.


  • Experience in the technology sector, with a deep understanding of sales trends and market dynamics.


  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX, Navision and SFDC
