Job Description SummaryThis role will work as an embedded software developer working on firmware for MR systems. In this role, individual will work cross-functionally with hardware and systems engineers to develop high quality and robust MR systems. Individual will create embedded firmware software that interfaces to component hardware to drive functionality using software development best practices. This role will work within an Agile development framework and participate in appropriate ceremonies, planning, and execution mechanisms. In addition, individual will help identify architecture and process improvements and support implementing these opportunities.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work closely with systems and hardware teams on requirements gathering and capture
- Interact with global software and hardware teams to ensure software platform consistency across all MR platforms.
- Develop software which meets rigorous quality, reliability, performance, and testability requirements.
- Work closely with architects and team leads on design and architectural improvements.
- Perform code and design reviews when appropriate. Use Scaled Agile Framework to implement software.
- Support planning and execution through user stories to meet commitment made by scrum team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience developing embedded software in C++ and object oriented design.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this position.
- Must be able to work onsite daily out of our Waukesha, WI location.
Desired Characteristics:
- Familiarity using standard tools for embedded software development such as emulators, debuggers, analyzers.
- Experience supporting hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Experience working directly on/with RTOS such as VxWorks.
- Experience in regulated environment that required rigor in documenting requirements, designs, testing, and results.
- Demonstrated experienced working on medical devices within a Quality Management System (QMS).
