What we are looking for - Paper Street Media, LLC is hiring for a Full-Time Email Marketing Manager position will be responsible for executing the deployment of email communications including coding HTML, building email templates, sending test emails, preparing the final audience list, scheduling email deployment, and communicating project status updates to stakeholders.

The day to day responsibilities:

  • Own, plan, and execute all transactional, external automation, single send, and lifecycle emails.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop various email strategies via automation and manual sends.
  • Manage and maintain subscribe and unsubscribe lists.
  • Work with list segmentation.
  • Monitor and report various aspects of email performance and conversions. 
  • Optimize strategy, processes, and conversions.

 What you’ll be doing:

  • Execute against a protocol that defines and sequences the activities needed to deploy an email campaign successfully.
  • Develop automated email campaigns to monetize current and expired customers.
  • Work with teams to coordinate campaign assets, data delivery, and launch requirements.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders, including appropriate staff. in the organization, on the status of projects and email deployments.
  • Segment audience data based on customer preferences and additional criteria.
  • Leverage approved creative content to create newsletters using HTML with inline CSS.
  • Utilize tools and scripting language to update and create personalized emails. 
  • Ensure that deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality.
  • Provide support as needed for high-level campaign performance reporting and general inquiries.
  • Coordinate and monitor the maintenance, integrity, and security of several databases.
  • Develop and code the list segmentation for all direct and interactive marketing campaigns and communicate requirements to the primary database vendor.
  • Purge non-deliverable email addresses and opt-outs.
  • Complete IP warm-up process for new email service providers as needed.
  • A/B test subject lines and creatives to optimize existing and new campaigns.
  • Pitch marketing campaign ideas to incorporate into our current strategies.
  • List management via automation as well as manual cleanup processes.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business disciplines is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience managing email deployment, technical projects, and the deployment of marketing programs.
  • Experiences in web development with strong knowledge of coding HTML and CSS.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting in multiple browsers or email clients.
  • Strong experience building automated email campaigns and customer journeys.
  • Experience with JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, ASP, Object-Oriented Programming (Not required but a plus).
  • Proficiency in a marketing automation environment.
  • Experience managing and transmitting data files across multiple systems.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Good grammar and knowledge of the English language.

Add-on Experiences:

  • Experience using various troubleshooting tools e.g. Litmus, Postmaster Tools, etc.
  • Understanding PHP is not required, but a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop or any creative tool is a plus, but not required. 
  • Experience with email marketing for subscriptions is a plus, but not required.
  • NATS experience is also a plus, but not required.
  • IP warmup experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Sendgrid, Maropost, SalesForce, Campaigner, and any other email service provider is a plus.
  • Setting up domain authentication.
  • Experience working within the adult industry is a plus, but not a requirement.
