ROLE SUMMARY
The CET EM Brand Training Manager role is responsible for Customer Engagement Training for one or more brands, Business Unit (BU), or Therapeutic Area (TA). The role is responsible for providing product and customer engagement skills training to new and existing team members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to successfully represent the company in the marketplace.
As the representative of the CET EM Team to the in-market brand/BU/TA leadership, the EM Customer Engagement Training Brand Training Manager role participates as a strategic partner, thoroughly understands the needs of the BU to which they are assigned, and defines, develops, and delivers training services to meet the needs of the business in support of Brand Launches, new employee training, as well as ongoing training needs based on critical market needs and other business-related initiatives.
The CET EM Brand Trainer will perform the role of Regional Brand Subject Matter Expert for assigned brand/s. Working across CET EM in-market Training Managers to understand local training needs, with ICO Brand and Medical Teams to understand regional brand training requirements, and with GCET TAP team on the co-creation of training content. Serving as the subject matter expert, the role is expected to maintain up-to-date expertise on the therapy, market, and sales approaches associated with the assigned product/TA as well as driving the upskilling of Local CET EM Brand Training Managers.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the primary representative of the Customer Engagement Training organization, acting as a strategic partner to brand leadership to drive BU and Brand strategic priorities.
• Define both short-term and long-term training priorities for the sales team for allocated Brands, in collaboration with allocated BU business and brand leadership as well as other key stakeholders.
• Foster strong relationships with Business Unit Partners, collaborating closely with Leadership, Marketing, Medical, Sales, Regulatory, and Legal teams to prioritize training needs and manage demands effectively.
• Develop/translate/localize and oversee GCMA approval learning journey and training curriculum to address brand needs, coordinating with team members for an integrated approach to content development and mastery.
• Oversee the translation, localization, development where required, and approval (where required) of training content.
• Utilize learning technology and manage training courses using Pfizer-endorsed platforms such as Microsoft Teams, PLA Platform, and Qstream.
• Oversee the certification process for team members according to CET core standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Lead the program management, development, and execution of training programs in accordance with product business strategies, BU needs, selling and coaching model constructs, and pre-determined impact and outcome metrics.
• Ability to deliver all skills related to effective communication of our brands: selling skills, objection handling, effective communication, customer understanding, etc.
• To ensure, whenever possible, that core Customer Engagement Training content is used. The role may serve, when required, as a training content development expert for local training needs, Brand POAs, brand & business acceleration efforts, and dynamic training needs.
• Oversee multi-modal learning resources, including print, eLearning modules, leader-led workshops, presentations, pre-launch and launch training sessions, and sustainability programs.
• Lead and/or participate in a cross-functional team construct to form and implement Brand Training Curricula, including planning, logistics, participant management.
• Conduct and coordinate engaging training sessions, utilizing Subject Matter Experts where necessary, both virtually and in person, covering product knowledge, disease states, competitive analysis, market dynamics, customer dynamics, sales techniques, and technical expertise.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to team members throughout their training journey.
• Support the development of training capabilities among team members.
• Collaborate with the wider Global Employee Engagement (CET IM and Global Content Creation Teams) to provide local training content needs and determine suitable core content for implementation.
• Understanding GCET service offerings, organizational capabilities, and leverage such knowledge to analyze market and other relevant data to identify new training needs and refine existing training curriculum and recommend new trainings to optimize workforce effectiveness.
• Within the market, drive the standardization of Brand Training working model across brands, therapy areas, and business units.
• Familiarize with and act as an expert for the current selling framework, market and customer content, new disease states and treatments across the current and future product portfolio.
• Participate in Field Visits with team members, to maintain a 'real-life' understanding of assigned brand/s and coach/upskill team members where necessary.
Regional Responsibilities:
TM is accountable for working across ICO Brand and Medical Teams, Local CET EM Training Managers, CET Brand Excellence Lead, and GCET TAP Team for assigned BU/brand to drive quality and harmonization of Global Core content for the EM Region and ensure identification and timely escalation of 'regional' content requirements.
The CET EM Brand Training Manager serves as the point of contact and champion for other CET EM TMs in different countries for the specific brand or therapeutic area assigned.
He/she is responsible for upskilling TMs on new data and providing ad hoc training if needed.
The Brand Manager participates in strategic brand meetings alongside the Excellence Lead, representing CET EM and will be accountable for guiding other TMs on updates related to materials and strategy afterwards.
Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably scientific).
  • Strong track record of success for a minimum of 5 years as a sales representative, trainer, or marketer or related role - Assigned BU Sales and Product experience is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of training delivery experience (Pharmaceutical or equivalent industry).
  • Excellent training delivery, presentation, and facilitation skills - both 'face to face' and 'virtual' at all levels.
  • Ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management & influencing skills at all levels.
  • Evidence of successful cross-functional & cross-cultural working.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to align knowledge with business priorities and execute strategies accordingly.
  • Passion for innovation and trying new approaches.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and interested in developing digital competencies (e.g., training delivery tools, AI, and learning content management systems).
  • Ability to make sense of complex information to make sound judgment and decision making with minimal direction. A track record of holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.
  • English language competency: ability to speak and present English in a business setting.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally, as required, and to be mobile in various work environments.
